Van den Ende & Deitmers buys into Eyeworks

Van den Ende & Deitmers Crossmedia Fund, the investment fund of Joop van den Ende and Hubert Deitmers, has taken a 30% interest in television producer Eyeworks. The remaining shares are held by the board of management of Eyeworks. With this new investment and shareholder, Eyeworks plans to grow faster in international markets. Joop van den Ende will also join Eyeworks’ Supervisory Board.

The board of management of Eyeworks will remain unchanged, with Reinout Oerlemans (CEO), Ronald van Wechem (Managing Director), Robert van den Bogaard (COO / Head of Television) and Mark Lazar (CFO). CEO Reinout Oerlemans about the Van den Ende & Deitmers Crossmedia Fund joining Eyeworks: ‘The television market is quickly becoming a global market. We plan to play a serious role in this market, creating and producing top international formats. This new shareholder not only provides us the financial means necessary to realise our international growth ambitions, but we also welcome a great strategic and creative entrepreneur into the Eyeworks team. Joop van den Ende is one of the founding fathers of the European television industry; he began in the early 70’s as an independent television producer and was recognised globally after he and John de Mol founded Endemol. I am fascinated to see that our paths cross again, after I had left Endemol in 2001. Furthermore, our cooperation will provide us with the know how of Hubert Deitmers and his
team at Van den Ende & Deitmers regarding the international television market. Hubert Deitmers was a member of the Board of Directors at Endemol.
