ix nominations for drama series from Eyeworks Belgium
The drama series MISSING PERSONS UNIT (Vermist) from Eyeworks Belgium received six nominations for the prestigious Monte Carlo Television Festival. Producer Philippe De Schepper is nominated in the categories Outstanding European Producer and Outstanding International Producer. Actors Kevin Janssens and Koen De Bouw can get an award for Outstanding Actor and their female colleagues Joke Devynck and Katelijne Verbeke are nominated in the category Outstanding Actress. The award ceremony will take place on June 10 during the Golden Nymph Awards Ceremony which is part of the 51st Monte Carlo Television Festival.
MISSING PERSONS UNIT (Vermist) follows a team of highly trained professionals who have dedicated their lives to tracking down and rescuing missing people. Despite having completely different personalities the team’s members fuse into an invincible unit, often the last hope for the victims’ desperate families.
The series finished its second season in the spring of 2010 on Belgium broadcaster VT4. The shooting of 20 new episodes will start this May. So far MISSING PERSONS UNIT has been sold to over 40 countries, including France, Canada, Russia and Germany. The format is represented by Eyeworks Distribution, SevenOne International is responsible for the distribution of the finished series.
