As off January 1st 2008, Dutch based production giant Eyeworks will open up a production office in Brazil. Situated in Sao Paolo the office will be managed under the supervision of Diego Guebel, CEO of Eyeworks Cuatro Cabezas.
Caiga Quien Caiga (CQC) will be the first program to be produced in Brazil. After earlier opening the market for Eyeworks in Argentina, Chile and Spain the successful format once again proves its value. CQC is a weekly news roundup that takes a humorous and ironic approach to current affairs, show business and sports. CQC is produced in Argentina, Spain, Chile, Italy, France and Israel, reaching market shares up to 40%. The program has been nominated seven times for an international Emmy Award.
Diego Guebel, CEO Eyeworks Cuatro Cabezas: “By opening this new office in Brazil, we will be able to bring CQC and more successful productions to one of the most exciting and challenging TV markets in the world. We are confident that we have great innovative shows to offer that will be very well received by the Brazilian audience and networks.” CEO and founder of Eyeworks, Reinout Oerlemans: “I am very pleased to now have a presence in Brazil as the 12th country in the Eyeworks international network. With our current success in South America as one of the leading producers in Argentina and Chile we see great possibilities to bring our rich format catalogue to Brazil. I’m confident we’ll make a flying start with CQC, which is already a proven success.”
