International television production company Eyeworks has appointed Tobias Bringholm as Managing Director Scandinavia. Based in Stockholm, Bringholm will oversee all Eyeworks’ Scandinavian activities and focus on its further expansion.

Tobias Bringholm (47) holds an impressive track record within the international TV industry. Since 2007, he is one of the founders of the creative investment company Red Capital. As an executive, he was Program Director at Sweden’s number one broadcaster TV4 (2005 ‐ 2007), founder and senior manager of Metronome (1990 ‐ 2005) and a member of the Endemol Creative Board (2000 – 2004). Furthermore, in his creative career he was executive producer for major international hit formats such as Pop Idol, Wheel of Fortune, One vs One Hundred and Big Brother.

CEO of Eyeworks, Reinout Oerlemans: “We are proud to strengthen our management team with a dedicated professional such as Tobias. With his inspiring personality, extensive knowledge and experience we feel he is the right man to enhance our current Scandinavian activities and to develop Eyeworks further as one of the leading and creative all round producers of Scandinavia.”

In Scandinavia, Eyeworks is currently present in Sweden with offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg, including its own studio complex. Furthermore, since the acquisition of Danish Easy Film in June 2008, Eyeworks is one of the leading independent production companies in Denmark. Working out of Stockholm, in his new role Bringholm will work together with the local management teams on the further expansion of Eyeworks’ Scandinavian activities, whether that is by setting up new local productions, pan‐Scandinavian productions or by investigating business opportunities in Norway. Norway is no stranger to the Eyeworks catalogue with formats broadcast in Norway including ‘Ticket to the Tribes’, ‘Test the Nation’ and ‘Who wants to marry my Son?’ amongst others.

“The TV industry is currently going through some fundamental changes and to be part of this development is both demanding and exciting. With its attractive catalogue and continued ambition, Eyeworks has rapidly become a major player in the international TV market. I look forward to the creative meetings within the worldwide Eyeworks group, thereby also contributing to the company on a global creative level.”
