Our portfolio companies 3D Hubs and Floryn are nominated for the Deloitte Fast 50 Award. Manufacturing platform 3D Hubs is part of the list with the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the Netherlands. Fintech company Floryn is nominated in the category Rising Star as one of the most promising Dutch tech companies. For the 21st consecutive time, Deloitte organizes the Technology Fast 50 that ranks Dutch technology companies based on the percentage revenue growth over the past four years (2016-2019). Despite COVID-19, participating companies show impressive growth caused by technology. Not only in terms of income, but also in the financing they have raised.
3D Hubs is nominated for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award amongst other fast-growing tech businesses. The world’s largest decentralized manufacturing platform lead by Bram de Zwart has produced more than 6 million parts since its founding in 2013. Its mission is to modernize the outdated centralized manufacturing and supply-chain model by creating automated and resilient supply chains and democratizing the industry. While other sectors have rapidly digitalized, supply chains are often unable to adapt. According to 3D Hubs COVID-19 has been five times as disruptive to supply chains as cyberattacks, with six out of 10 businesses now targeting geographic diversification of supply chains as a result. In March 2019 Endeit Capital announced a series C investment of $18 million to further automate its manufacturing outsourcing solution & expand platform’s global network. The ranking of the Deloitte Fast 50 will be announced on November 25.
Our portfolio company Floryn is nominated in the Rising Star category of the Deloitte Fast 50 with 9 other promising Dutch tech companies. The Dutch fintech company offers loans up to €2 million to small and medium-sized enterprises with excellent customer experience management and service. Late May we announced a series B investment of €9 million together with existing shareholders in Floryn. In a recent blog we shared our motivation for investing in this venture. Who deserves the title “Rising Star 2020” will be determined by an independent jury on November 25. The companies are assessed on sales potential, degree of innovation and scalability.
