Eyeworks expands into Finland

Eyeworks announced today that Nordisk Film TV Finland, which runs all TV-productions of MRP Matila Röhr Productions Oy, has become a part of the Eyeworks Group. Nordisk Film TV Finland is well known for several successful TV shows such as: A Little Bit Of Fixing, the ski resort reality show Ylläs, the daily reality show Kalajoen Hiekat, the lifestyle show Going Home, and the dating show Love Connection. International formats that Nordisk Film TV Finland has produced for various Finnish networks include: Singing Bee, The Great Bake Off, Who Do You Think You Are?, Finland’s Worst Driver and Celebrity Wedding Planner. The company will be named Eyeworks Finland and is owned by the Eyeworks Group (majority) as well as the Eyeworks Finland’s domestic operative management. The company will remain located in Helsinki. MRP Matila Röhr Productions will continue to serve as a movie production company, focusing on feature films and nature documentaries, and will not be part of the new Eyeworks Finland company. Eyeworks has offices in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia and the US.

Antti Väisänen has been appointed managing director for Eyeworks Finland. “This is a natural phase in the growth of our TV-operations. I’m very happy about the company’s new owner base, which secures the same kind of entrepreneurial spirit and creative identity we’ve always had. We’re known for developing our own formats and concepts as well as producing international formats”, says Väisänen. “The Eyeworks Group offers fantastic possibilities on the development front as well as in the international distribution of domestic formats and production of international formats.”
