Spil Games Completes Its Realignment as Publisher and Distributor

Spil Games announces the last stage in its strategy to align its operations around game publishing and distribution. The company will also close its in-house game development studio and focus on distributing games across its own and third party distribution platforms.

Spil Games’ strategy is to be the publisher of choice for game developers. The company is already seeing success publishing games across multiple platforms. By the end of 2014, it expects to publish at least 20 new games across App Stores, Facebook and the web.

“The company is now leaner and focused on the future, as we put the last of our realignments behind us. We can now focus fully on publishing games across multiple platforms, as well as managing our own distribution platforms” says ad-interim CEO Willem van Wijmen. “We currently have a positive cash flow and are confident in our future.”
