Rose d’ Or nomination for Eyeworks format million dollar wedding

This evening in London, during the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), it was announced that television producer Eyeworks has been nominated for a Rose D’Or for the program Million Dollar Wedding, in the important category `entertainment.’ Internationally, the annual Rose D’Or Festival is the most prestigious European festival for amusement programming on television.

Million Dollar Wedding: The search for the Nation’s Perfect Couple, is a competition in which thousands of couples battle it out before the nation: Who will be crowned the nations perfect couple? The winning pair will be rewarded with a dream start as husband and wife; astonishing prizes, money and ….a million dollar wedding that gives them the perfect day they have always dreamed of. In the Netherlands, the program was transmitted last autumn on RTL4.

The winner of the Rose D’Or will be announced during the Rose D’Or Festival on May 5th in Luzern, Switzerland. Last year, Eyeworks won its third Rose D’Or with its English production Hider in the House for BBC, which Eyeworks now produces in the Netherlands with Jochem van Gelder for the NCRV, Nederland 3 (Saturday 19.00). Previously, in 2005, Eyeworks received two Rose D’Or’s for The National IQ Test: one for best game show and one for best format.
