Meet Sara Resvik: Endeit Capital’s newest partner, leading the way in the Nordics

Sara Resvik, a pioneering leader in venture capital, is Endeit Capital’s first female partner. With extensive experience and a passion for scaling companies, Sara is driven to make a significant impact in the Nordics and beyond. In this interview, she shares her journey, her vision for the future, and what excites her most about this new chapter at Endeit Capital. 

How did you end up at Endeit Capital? 

A shared connection sparked Sara’s journey to Endeit Capital. ‘’I was familiar with Endeit’s portfolio companies in the Nordics and was impressed by these investments,’’ she recalls. ‘’Endeit has a solid reputation, driven by a strong commitment to finding the best companies, and the work dynamic is great. The team is highly driven and professional.  Also, I appreciate the Dutch culture—straightforward, skilled at negotiating, and performance-driven, yet balanced with a focus on work-life balance.’’ 

With over a decade of experience in venture capital, starting at Industrifonden, a later-stage fund, Sara has also built business units for large companies in Sweden and Norway. ‘’Working with entrepreneurs is my passion,’’ she says. ‘’In recent years, I worked at an early-stage fund, making seed investments, but I missed the excitement of working with later-stage companies. For me, it’s more fulfilling when you can work with financials, data, and revenues, and I feel Endeit is the perfect place for that.’’ 

What will be your focus as a partner?

‘’My focus is simple: find the best deals in the Nordics, invest wisely, and deliver great returns,’’ Sara says with determination. As a partner, she will also concentrate on the Climate Tech segment. ‘’I’ve worked extensively with Climate Tech companies in recent years and completed several deals. Here in Northern Europe, we have some outstanding companies in this space.’’ 

Balancing professional ambitions with personal well-being is a priority for Sara. ‘’Work-life balance is essential to me, and I encourage my teammates to prioritize it. I work out a few days a week, play tennis, spend time with my three sons, and travel. It keeps me energized and focused, which is essential for success.’’ 

How do you think your culture and experience will impact your new role? 

‘’The Nordics have a vibrant ecosystem,’’ Sara notes. ‘’We’ve seen some incredible successes, from companies like Spotify and Klarna to smaller, very innovative companies.’’ When looking at the Nordics and Benelux, there are strong similarities in the approach to fostering innovation. Sara: ‘’I believe my experience in this ecosystem, coupled with Endeit’s culture, will allow me to bring unique insights and strategies to the table.’’ 

What previous learning will you incorporate into this new role? 

Sara emphasizes that the success of an organization always comes down to the people. ‘’The numbers can be good, and the tools can be great, but it always comes down to the founders’ ambition, knowledge, and drive,’’ she explains. ‘’Good founders must attract money and talent, and ultimately, they need to be able to sell,’ she states.  

Where do you see opportunities for growth? 

Reflecting on the current market, Sara acknowledges its challenges over the past two years: ‘’I believe we will see a more stable market soon, with interest rates decreasing. I’m starting to see more qualitative deals and am optimistic about the future.’’ Despite the pressure from upcoming regulations, such as ESG rules, she remains excited about the potential of AI and other emerging opportunities: ‘’In the past, I’ve worked on exciting deals like Trustrace and Snerpa Power. This is just the beginning of much more AI innovation, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.’’ 

How do you feel about being the first female partner at Endeit? 

Sara is passionate about increasing the number of women in venture capital. ‘’Diversity leads to better performance and results,’’ she says. ‘’So yes, I’m thrilled to be Endeit’s first female partner,’’ she laughs, ‘’I think it was about time after 18 years. Better late than never, right?’’
