In The Netherlands, commercial market leader RTL4 has picked up the Eyeworks format Million Dollar Wedding, to launch their Fall season. Million Dollar Wedding, the search for the nation’s perfect couple, is created and developed by Eyeworks International. Immediately after the agreement with RTL4 in The Netherlands, the show was also sold to an undisclosed network in Turkey.

Sander Emmering, Managing Director of Eyeworks International: “At Eyeworks we are very pleased that the commercial market leader in The Netherlands is confident to bring this brand new, prime time show to launch their Fall season. We also experience serious interest from other major broadcasters worldwide and obviously our Eyeworks affiliates are talking about the format intensively with the networks in their local markets. The launch on RTL4 is just the beginning”.

Eyeworks introduced Million Dollar Wedding during MIPTV in Cannes in April. The general enthusiastic response has for this moment resulted in commissions in The Netherlands and Turkey. Furthermore, option agreements have been closed in Australia and France. This outcome so far could mean a promising MIPCOM for the format in October. Sander Emmering: “During the October market in Cannes we will pitch Million Dollar Wedding once more on a wide scale, but this time grounded with original tapes, ratings and figures. Since the show has such an universal appeal we are confident this could be the next Eyeworks format to travel around the globe.”
