Company consolidates its position in the Top 5 of largest independent production companies worldwide.
International television and film production company Eyeworks acquires a majority stake in the Norwegian production company Dinamo Story. With this acquisition Eyeworks adds a seventeenth territory to its worldwide group and solidifies its pan‐Scandinavian operations. Eyeworks has offices in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, the UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia and the US.
Dinamo Story has been a division of the Dinamo Group since it was founded 11 years ago. It is one of the strongest independent Norwegian production companies. The company is well known for its many TV‐events, such as the annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert, Eurovision and a series of award shows. In addition to this the company has developed and produced its own formats, such as the award winning program “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” and “Super Seniors”. On average Dinamo Story employs 50 people.
Odd Arvid Strømstad, Managing Director Dinamo: “We have been looking around for an international family for a while and are thrilled to be joining forces with a company like Eyeworks. Being part of the group we get access to well‐tested international concepts. Eyeworks has proven international format development competence, which we are looking forward to both harvest from and contribute to.”
Tobias Bringholm, CEO Eyeworks Scandinavia (Sweden, Denmark, Norway): “With Dinamo Story on board, we have developed a strong trinity in Scandinavia.” We have many common denominators, but also unique competence in each country, which we are looking forward to capitalising upon.”
CEO and founder of the Eyeworks Group Reinout Oerlemans: “We see it as an important step to add Norway to our creative network. Creative exchange and collaboration is getting more and more important worldwide, but also between neighboring countries. Eyeworks already has a strong position in Sweden and Denmark, with the expansion to Norway we can form a stronger creative collective. In the past years international Eyeworks formats like “Test The Nation”, “Who Wants To Marry My Son?”, “Ticket To The Tribes”, “This Is Your Vote”, and “Age Of Love”, were already very successful on Norwegian Television. A perfect basis to extend this success with our own production office together with Eyeworks Dinamo.”
The new company will be named Eyeworks Dinamo and will remain located in Oslo.
