Endeit Capital is on the move! We often talk about the important role that new hires play in company growth. After all, we’ve been supporting European scale-ups across seven countries in their efforts to increase their market share for years. That’s why we are proud to announce three new hires that will help take Endeit Capital to the next level. Sophie Dürr is now a business analyst based at our Hamburg office, while Emmelie Meurs and Pieter van Berckel are joining the team in our Amsterdam office as new business analysts.
The team expansion reinforces our goals around our third growth fund: to assist scale-ups in the Benelux and German-speaking territories to reach their ambitions. Our three new hires bring a great deal of enthusiasm, industry knowledge, and insight to their roles. We can’t wait to work with them and see how they move the European scale-up scene forward.
Here’s a bit more information on our new team members:
Sophie joined Endeit’s Hamburg office earlier this year as a Business Analyst and is part of the DACH team. She is responsible for venture scouting, analysing potential investment targets, and supporting Endeit’s DACH portfolio companies.
Before joining Endeit, Sophie worked as a Consulting Intern at KPMG and a Visiting Associate at First Momentum Ventures, among several roles in the consulting and private equity space.
Sophie holds an MSc. in IT Management and Organisational Change, as well as an M.A. in Strategic Marketing Management. She achieved a distinction with honor from Lancaster Management School in the UK and Germany’s International School of Management after completing modules in leadership skills, market research, business analysis and enterprise resilience, technological futures and strategic marketing.
Sophie enjoys travelling and has worked and studied in Germany, the Netherlands, UK and Greece.
Nice to know about Sophie; “My mother once told me that when I was a child, the moment I saw a swimming pool, I would start running and jumping in with my clothes on, without knowing how to swim.”
Emmelie joined Endeit as a Business Analyst following the completion of her internship in January. She is based in Amsterdam and is responsible for analysing potential investments in the Benelux region.
Prior to working for Endeit, Emmelie gained experience as an intern at the corporate finance department of ABN AMRO Bank. She holds a BSc. in Economics and Business Economics from the University of Utrecht and completed several courses in finance during an exchange programme at the Singapore Management University. She also holds an MSc. in Finance and Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management where she was an honour student.
Aside from working in finance directly, Emmelie has also held roles as a study and exam training manager, where she enjoyed organising high-quality training for students interested in economics.
A small fun fact on Emmelie “My guilty pleasure is listening to German music.”
Pieter also used an internship at Endeit Capital as a springboard for his career development. Now working as a Business Analyst following the successful completion of his internship, Pieter is based in Amsterdam where he is responsible for analysing potential investments in the Benelux region.
Before joining Endeit, Pieter gained experience as an investment banking intern at Lazard and a research intern at Philips Healthcare. It was at Philips that he demonstrated his academic qualities by co-authoring a paper on the use of diffuse reflectance spectroscopy in breast-conserving surgery. Pieter also holds an MSc. in Biomedical Engineering and a BSc. in Industrial Engineering from the Delft University of Technology.
One of Pieter’s biggest influences is Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, who has demonstrated that even the largest companies can successfully pursue their growth targets.
Pieter says: “Once upon a time during a hiking trip in Arizona, water is what I needed. After 6 hours of searching, I felt utterly joy because a water well it was. Similar euphoria is what I feel when finding YOU!“
New experiences, new goals
