What do we do

Based on our Connected Consumer thesis, we invest in pan-European internet scale-ups, supporting them to become leading international players in their respective industries.

Endeit Capital is an independent investment firm based in Amsterdam (NL) and Hamburg (DE). With entrepreneurial roots in digital media, internationalisation and mergers & acquisitions, we provide operational and strategic expertise. Since 2006, Endeit Capital has invested in more than 30 European scale-ups across 7 countries, which together acquired another 30+ add-on companies and expanded into 22 countries. Typical initial equity investments are between €3m and €8m and we support companies in potential further equity rounds. Numerous portfolio companies in the meantime have been successfully sold to publicly quoted buyers across 3 continents.

We are seeking entrepreneurs heading innovative high growth internet companies with proven recurring scalable business models in predominantly enterprise software & services as well as online B2C transaction based activities. Natural leaders who need additional growth capital supporting branding and extending their product portfolio for growth.

We are backed by our seasoned founders amongst which serial entrepreneur Joop van den Ende, co-founder of Endemol, as well as by numerous founders of previous portfolio companies, other successful (internet) entrepreneurs and by large institutional funds. We also welcome and work with experienced business angels to join us as co-investors in individual portfolio companies. Entrepreneurship is at the core of Endeit Capital.

Hubert Deitmers
Managing partner

Hubert is co-founder and Managing Partner of Endeit Capital. As boardmember he is actively involved with the portfolio companies Picturae and Spilgames. He also served as Supervisory Board member of numerous other portfolio companies such as Metrixlab, Albumprinter, Eyeworks and Hyves.

Hubert also devotes maximum efforts to supporting entrepreneurship in general by being the Chair of the Dutch ‘Jong Ondernemen’ foundation and the LOEY foundation, which he co-founded, and by serving as Advisory Board Member of the Amsterdam Center of Entrepreneurship. He also published a business book called ‘Thinking BIC’. Hubert furthermore was involved with Nyenrode New Business School since its inception and served as board member for many years. As a member of the Expert Committee KMO he has been advising the Minister of Economic Affairs in 2006 and 2007.

Since 2005 he was an angel investor in the Dutch leading social network Hyves, where he served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board till the acquisition by TMG. He is also co-founder of Solid Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm. Until 2005 he was a Member of the Executive Board of Endemol and played a leading role in the internationalization of the company since its IPO in 1996. Prior to Endemol, Hubert gained over eight years of international venture capital experience in Europe and the US at Atlas Venture.

He holds a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from the Eindhoven University of Technology.

Martijn Hamann

Martijn joined Endeit Capital at the start as Partner in 2006. Today, he is responsible for deals in DACH, UK, Nordics.

Until 2006 he was a member of the Executive Director team of Endemol Group, the world’s largest independent provider of multi screen content. He joined Endemol in 1996.

In 2004, Martijn acted
 as Interim Director at mobile game developer/publisher Overloaded and exited to Norwegian telco Telenor. Early 2005, Martijn became Executive Director at Endemol for International Operations, responsible 
for managing the worldwide key subsidiaries, especially related to developing new business and new markets. Prior he was heading the M&A activities at Endemol. Martijn Hamann gained extensive experience in various M&A transactions until 1996 as consultant of the Dutch M&A boutique Reitsma & Wertheim (Investec). He holds a BA Economics and MsC Business Administration from the Erasmus University – Rotterdam School of Management – Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

He is Boardmember at portfolio company Gridscale (DE, cloud solutions), Chronext (CH/DE, new & pre-owned luxury watches platform), TourRadar (AT, multi-day travel tours booking platform), Blis (UK, global leader in location & movement data technology), Gastrofix (DE, online POS for gastronomy). Martijn was previously on the Board at (exited) portfolio companies Contorion (DE), Unruly (UK), Smartclip (DE), Improve Digital (NL), Spil Games (NL), Advance (NL), CBV (PT) and Accepte/Paylogic (NL).

Jelle-Jan Bruinsma

Jelle-Jan combines seven years of hands-on management, operational and business development experience at YouTube (Google) with ten years experience in Private Equity (NPM Capital), corporate M&A (Endemol) and Venture Capital (Endeit Capital).

After working over 5 years with the Endeit Capital team on their first fund from early 2006 onwards he then joined YouTube as head of partnerships for Nordics and Benelux and later headed the go-to-market teams for YouTube partnerships for EMEA and APAC out of London. July 2018, he returned to Endeit Capital as Partner.

Jelle-Jan has been co-lead on multiple Endeit Capital deals, including Unamic, their acquisition of HCN and the combined exit to Rank-Xerox, Metrixlab, Smartclip and others.

Jelle-Jan holds a MSc Industrial Engineering and Management from Twente University, the Netherlands.

Philipp Schroeder

Philipp is Venture Partner for Germany at Endeit Advisors since end of 2017. He discovered his passion for technology companies when working for a software company specialised in the technology transfer industry. He gathered extensive experience in the venture capital industry through carrying out more than 40 investments in early stage companies mainly at Active Venture Partners, which he co-founded in 2002. Philipp is born in Germany and has lived and worked in Germany, England, United States and Spain. Philipp graduated from the City University Business School London in 1999. He’s also Managing Partner Next Logistics Accelerator in Hamburg and mentoring at Microsoft Germany Accelerator and Techstars.

Edwin Hengstmengel

Edwin joined Endeit Capital early 2008 and became Partner in 2015. He is responsible for deals in the Benelux and other territories, excluding Germany. Prior to joining Endeit, Edwin was Investment Manager at Cyrte Investments, focusing on public and private investments. Cyrte started as family office of John de Mol, co-founder of Endemol. Before Cyrte, he was consultant at CPS Alcar performing financial analysis, fair value opinions and value based management projects for corporates. He started his career at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Edwin’s background is in New Media, Private Equity and M&A. He studied aviation economics and holds a Masters Degree in Financial Economics and Business Administration but showed real perspiration by running the Athens marathon, 2500 years after Greek soldier Pheidippides was sent for a message.

Edwin is board member at Riaktr and Quadia. He is also observer on the board of Picturae. Edwin is director of the LOEY foundation, a Dutch initiative to stimulate Entrepreneurship.

Ilan Goudsmit
Investment Manager

Ilan joined Endeit Capital in 2012 and is an Investment Manager. He is responsible for originating Benelux deal flow, operational, corporate development and management of portfolio companies. He has deep domain expertise in Software as a Service, online marketplaces, Smart Industry, mobile, fin tech and ad tech. Ilan is a non-executive board member at 3D Hubs and actively supports the board of Virtuagym.

Ilan is Advisory Board Member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau Netherlands, Mentor at the accelerator Startupbootcamp in Amsterdam and is co-founder and board member of VEECEE, the foundation for European venture capital professionals.

Prior to Endeit, Ilan was CFO, Business Development Director and Legal Counsel at Club Judge, an online review platform and ad network for DJs and clubs. Ilan interned at the corporate finance department for large corporations of ABN AMRO Bank. His background is in New Media, Startups, Law and Finance. He holds an honours Master in Commercial and M&A Laws from the University of Amsterdam and completed graduate courses in law and business during an exchange program at the University of California in Berkeley.

Daniël Langerveld

Daniël joined Endeit as an experienced analyst and is part of the BeNeLux team. He is responsible for generating dealflow, deal execution and (operational) support to portfolio companies.

Prior to Endeit, Daniël was a senior consultant at EY’s operational transaction services practice. He was involved in digital and commercial due diligences and projects with a strong data driven focus. He executed projects for both corporate and private equity clients. Additionally, Daniël was responsible for creating and rolling out EY’s analytical offerings and he won EY’s European analytics competition.

Daniël holds a BSc in Building Engineering, a BSc in Industrial Engineering and an MSc in Operations Management and Logistics from which he all graduated Cum Laude.

Marnix Vermeij

Marnix started at Endeit in 2018 as an experienced analyst. He is part of the Benelux team responsible for generating dealflow and deal execution. He additionally supports the operational and financial development of the portfolio companies. Marnix has particular expertise in financial analysis and financial modelling.

The move to Endeit followed a three year tenure with Deloitte M&A Transaction Services in Amsterdam, mostly performing financial due diligence for a broad range of domestic and international, SME’s, corporate and financial clients. Marnix holds a BSc in Business Administration and graduated Cum Laude with a MSc in Finance & Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management.

Niclas Englert
Junior Analyst

Niclas joined Endeit as a Junior Analyst in 2019. Based in Hamburg, he is responsible for deal sourcing and analysing of potential investments as well as supporting the portfolio companies in the DACH region.

Prior to Endeit, Niclas gained Venture Capital experience investing in early-stage tech companies with Project A and worked in a FinTech startup after interning at the Technology Consultancy Camelot Management Consultants. Niclas is Co-Founder of the Q-Summit Entrepreneurship & Innovation Conference and holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim.

Willem van Vark

Willem joined Endeit Capital as Controller at the start in 2006 and is responsible for financial reporting. He was controller at NeSBIC Groep between 1994 and 2005 and Fortis Private Equity Holding from 1987 to 1994. Both companies were part of the Fortis Group.

His background is in full service back office reporting in private equity & venture capital. Willem supported the investment teams of the investment funds within the NeSBIC organization. He holds a Degree in Financial Administration.

Wendy Horlings – Edel
Office Manager

Wendy joined Endeit Capital as Office Manager at the start in 2006 and is responsible for office management. Prior to joining Endeit, Wendy was employed as personal assistant to the Executive Board of Endemol between 1999 and 2005. She worked as a stewardess at KLM and was a management assistant at Horlings, an organization of accountants and tax advisors. Wendy holds a degree in Tourism.

Wendy is event manager of the LOEY foundation, a Dutch initiative to stimulate online entrepreneurship.

Cevinio was founded in 2013 by Jeroen Volk, Vilayat William and Vincent Prooij as InvoiceSharing and is active on the global invoice-to-pay software market. Cevinio’s smart algorithms remove redundant steps from the invoice handling processes, significantly increasing productivity and reducing compliance risk. The system is compatible with all large ERP’s such as SAP and Oracle, enabling finance departments to process invoices and payments faster. Floryn is a fintech company that offers small and medium-sized businesses with business loans up to € 2 million. The company was founded in 2016 by Sven van der Biezen (CEO), Marijn van Aerle (CTO) and Gion van den Bogaert (CFRO). Floryn – named after the Dutch currency used from the Middle Ages to 2002- is located in the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS) in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Comtravo is a business travel bookings platform for the underserved SME market. With the help of natural language processing and AI technologies Comtravo is able to offer a faster, superior and more customized service at a fraction of the cost of traditional travel agencies. Comtravo was founded in 2015 by Michael Riegel & Jannik Neumann.

Leadfeeder (Finland) automates lead generation for B2B sales teams from website visits, pushing qualified named company leads to CRMs. This allows Leadfeeder clients to bridge the gap between inbound interest and cold calling, generally the largest potential revenue bucket for sales teams. Leadfeeder was founded in 2012 by serial entrepreneur Pekka Koskinen.
3D Hubs

3D Hubs (The Netherlands) is an automated manufacturing platform. Its online platform provides customized, high-precision parts to companies for prototyping up to and including production of industrial and consumer end products. By uploading digital designs files, customers receive instant quotes for manufacturing services such as 3D printing, CNC machining and Injection Molding and go into production in less than 5 minutes. Founded in 2013, 3D Hubs has produced more than 2,000,000 parts and 27% of Fortune 100 companies have ordered with 3D Hubs.

Gridscale is a Germany, Cologne based BtB cloud solutions provider. The company enables direct enterprise clients and reseller partners to to easily create, implement and manage complex hosting and infrastructure projects in a few seconds. The company was founded in 2014.

Virtuagym (The Netherlands) provides a leading cloud based fitness software platform for member engagement, coaching and club management. Virtuagym supports more than 4,500 health clubs and 25,000 trainers in over 80 countries, including the United States and key European markets. The company has over 200 employees and offices in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Medellín, Colombia. Virtuagym was founded in 2008 by brothers Paul and Hugo Braam.

CHRONEXT (Switzerland, Germany, UK) is the premier luxury destination to buy, sell or service new and pre-owned luxury watches in a safe environment at fair prices.The CHRONEXT model is unique, as it allows over 1,800 retailers, brands and consumers to transact globally, while managing pre- and after-sales service, payment, authentication as well as logistics.

TourRadar is the world’s largest and most-trusted online marketplace for multi-day tours. With more than 20,000 tours in over 200 countries, TourRadar helps millions of travellers each year find, compare and book the tour of their dreams. Based in Vienna (Austria) with offices in Brisbane (Australia) and Toronto (Canada), TourRadar has a vision of connecting people to life-enriching travel experiences. Tourradar was founded in 2010 by brothers Travis and Shawn Pittman.

Real Impact Analytics delivers easy-to-use big data applications for telecom operators ensuring that telecom operator teams can use big data effectively to drive everyday tasks. The company, founded in 2012 by Loic Jacobs van Merlen and Sebastien Deletaille, employs around 70 people with headquarters in Brussels and regional offices in Brazil and South Africa.

Roamler offers, via its proprietary crowdsourcing platform, a well-trained local mobile workforce to corporates with a focus on both near-time insights in execution on retail floors as well as technical home installations. The company employs over 55 people with headquarters in Amsterdam and regional offices in amongst others Germany, France and Belgium. Roamler was founded in 2011 by Martijn Nijhuis and Wiggert de Haan.

Blis is the global leader in advanced location data technology. Its proprietary platform provides businesses with accurate location data and in-depth behavioural insights to serve digital content to audiences that are on the go. The company has offices in 8 countries with regional headquarters in London, New York and Singapore. Blis was founded in 2008 by Greg Isbister.

Gastrofix developed a leading cloud-based POS system for Apple iPads and iPods. The cash register covers the entire gastronomy and hotel industry. Hyves was founded in 2004 by Floris Rost van Tonningen, Koen Kam and Raymond Spanjar . Hyves had more than 10.3 million accounts.
